Plastic coated steel wire rope is a product formed by steel wire rope after plastic coated treatment, with wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, good softness and other advantages, is widely used in hoisting, transportation, fixing and other fields.

The production process of plastic coated steel wire rope usually includes the following main steps:

Wire rope braiding: According to the specifications and requirements of the product, the appropriate steel wire is selected for braiding, usually using multiple strands of wire rope for braiding to improve tensile strength and softness.

Pretreatment: The braided wire rope needs to be pre-treated, including oil removal, rust removal, cleaning and other treatments to ensure that the surface of the steel wire is clean, which is conducive to the subsequent coating process.

Plastic coating treatment: the pre-treated steel wire rope enters the plastic coating treatment link, and the plastic coating operation is carried out on the plastic coating machine. During the coating process, the melted plastic or rubber material is usually evenly coated on the surface of the wire rope to form a protective coating.

Drying: The wire rope needs to be dried after plastic coating to ensure that the coating is fully cured and bonded, and to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the plastic coated wire rope.
