Stainless steel wire rope inspection is divided into daily inspection, regular inspection and special inspection, daily inspection is self-inspection; Periodic checks based on device type, usage, environment, and the results of the previous check can determine whether to use monthly or annual checks. The daily inspection of stainless steel wire rope is mainly based on broken wire wear and corrosion.

1) Disconnect

Calculate the number of broken wires within a twist pitch, including external and internal broken wires. Even if there are two broken wires on the same wire, the number of broken wires should be counted according to the number of broken wires. If the broken wire exceeds its own radius, it is treated as broken wire.

When checking, pay attention to the location of the broken wire (such as how far from the end) and the concentration of the broken wire, so as to determine the treatment method.

② Note the position and shape of the broken wire, that is, whether the broken wire occurs in the bulge of the strand or in the valley. According to the shape of the broken wire, you can determine the cause of the broken wire.

2) Wear and tear

The wear inspection is mainly the measurement of the wear state and diameter.

There are two states of wear: one is communication wear and the other is eccentric wear. The partial wear of the wire rope occurs more when the rope movement is not large, the sling is heavy, and the tension there varies greatly. For example, the rope of the electromagnetic suction crane is prone to such wear. Off-wear and communication wear will also reduce the strength of the wire rope.
